Parking and directions to the screening location: Free parking for all visitors from 8pm, entry to the screening area from 8pm. On arrival at the venue, please head in the direction of the onsite café, ranger’s office and segways, and then follow signposts from this point. The screening location is approximately a five minute walk from the car park, close to Forestry England’s administration offices.
Times: Entry to the screening location from 8pm, films start at 9.30pm, The Blair Witch Project ends at 10.50pm, The Greatest Showman Sing-Along ends 11.15pm (all timings are approximate subject to weather conditions on the night).
Tickets: Please bring a printout of your booking confirmation, receipt or e-ticket(s) with you, or show it on your phone, and check in at our box office tent on arrival. We’ll have a list of all bookers with us too, so if you can’t find this info, just bring photo ID along on the night.
Food and Drink: You are welcome to bring your own picnics, including food and soft drinks, but please don’t bring your own alcohol. Our friends from The Inn Box will be in attendance with their funky, converted horse box bar, selling alcoholic drinks, soft drinks and cinema snacks. Sensational hot drinks will also be on sale courtesy of Stimulatte, selling gourmet coffee including latte, cappucino, mocha, espresso, machiato, latte over ice, Vietnamese style coffee plus tea and hot chocolate. And we’re delighted to welcome The Sugar Mill, who’ll be selling a range of retro sweets and chocolate treats.
Normal licensing rules apply, no alcohol to be drunk by or supplied to under 18s. Please do not bring glasses or glass bottles to the event, only plastic and cans.
Premium Seats: If you have booked a Premium Seat, this will be reserved at the front of the screening area right up until the start of the film. You will be given a blanket to use for the evening. A refundable deposit of £5 cash will be required for each blanket, which will be given back to you when you return your blanket at the end of the screening.
General Entry Seats: Please remember to bring your own picnic rug, beanbag, low-backed camping chair or deckchair to the screening. Rugs and beanbags will be located near the front, with camping chairs and deckchairs behind, so that everyone gets a good view. Guests arriving with high-backed chairs may be asked to sit at the sides or rear.
Other Useful Info: please bring warm clothes and footwear, plus blankets to keep warm if needed. Please bring a torch for the return trip to your vehicle after the screening. Please respect the venue and take your litter home or give to our staff at the end of the night.
Weather: screenings proceed in all weathers, including rain, screenings are only stopped or postponed if the weather is deemed to be making the event unsafe. No umbrellas are allowed in the screening area once the film begins. In the event of needing to postpone or cancel a screening (due to prolonged, heavy rain, high winds or thunderstorms), we’ll e-mail all customers and post on social media. Please look out for this on the day of the screening if the weather is looking dodgy!
Terms and Conditions: management reserve the right to refuse entry. Customers are requested to respect their fellow audience members by not making unnecessary noise or disturbing those around them during the screening. Usual film certification rules apply. Smoking and vaping is not permitted in the screening area. Please move to the rear, well away from the audience, should you wish to smoke or vape.
