Mamma Mia, Saturday 22 May, Sandford Parks Lido, Cheltenham

Times: entry to the screening location from 8pm, film begins at 9.30pm and ends at 11.20pm (all timings are approximate and subject to weather conditions on the night).

Location: Sandford Parks Lido, Keynsham Road, Cheltenham, GL53 7PU, for directions click HERE

Parking: free parking in the main Sandford Parks Lido car park from 7.30pm, gates open at 8pm.  Please maintain social distancing of 1m+ while queueing before entry.

Tickets: Please bring a printout of your booking confirmation, receipt or e-ticket(s) with you, or show it on your phone.  We’ll be viewing these from a minimum of 1m distance, please follow guidance from our staff at the ticket tent.  We’ll have a list of all bookers with us too, so if you can’t find your e-tickets, confirmation e-mail or receipt, just bring photo ID along on the night. The show is sold out, no tickets will be available on the gate.

Headphones: all customers will be given a pair of wireless headphones on entry, which will be used to broadcast the film’s soundtrack (this is necessary due to local noise regulations).  The headphones will have been cleaned and sanitised prior to use.  Please return the headphones at the exit at the end of the screening.

Food and Drink: hot food including chilli and rice, katsu curry and rice, hot dogs (including vegetarian), burgers (including vegetarian), jacket potatoes and topped wedges will be available from the lovely folks at Katie’s, as well as amazing coffees from Stimulatte and a great bar from Simply Prosecco, selling fizz on tap, beers, wines and soft drinks.  You may also bring your own picnics. Normal licensing rules apply, no alcohol to be drunk by or supplied to under 18s.  Please do not bring glasses or glass bottles, only plastic and cans.  Please take all personal litter home at the end of the screening to minimise contact risk to our staff.

Personal Health: if you are shielding, or experiencing symptoms associated with Covid-19, please do not attend the event.  We will be happy to offer you a voucher for a future screening, or for you to give your ticket to someone else.

Social Distancing Seating Arrangements (Bring Your Own Seat Tickets): seating pitches will be laid out in front of the screen and will be socially distanced from each other.  You can attend in groups of up to six people, and you don’t need to be socially distanced from each other or wear masks, unless you’d prefer to.  Don’t forget to bring your own low-backed camping chair or deckchair!

Social Distancing Seating Arrangements (Premium Deckchair Seats): customers who have purchased premium deckchair seats will have seats pre-positioned at the front of the venue, reserved by name and laid out with socially distanced spacing between each group.  Please do not move the seats.  All deckchairs will have been cleaned and sanitised prior to use.

Using Aisles: there will be 1m+ through routes on all sides of each seating pitch to allow for arrival, departure and toilet trips. Please respect social distancing arrangements and each other when moving around at the event and follow instructions from event security and stewards.  Masks are not needed when moving around the outdoor event spaces, but feel free to wear one if you prefer. Masks must be worn in all indoor spaces (eg toilets).

Toilets: there will be toilet facilities on site.  These will be regularly cleaned and sanitised throughout the event, and ample hand sanitising facilities will be available for your use.

Other Useful Info: Please bring warm clothes and footwear, plus blankets to keep warm if needed.  After the recent weather we’ve been having, waterproofs are recommended as a back-up, just in case!  No smoking or vaping anywhere in the Lido grounds.  Customers wishing to smoke or vape will be permitted to leave the venue and re-enter as needed.

Weather: screenings proceed in all weathers, including rain, screenings are only stopped or postponed if the weather is deemed to be making the event unsafe.  No umbrellas are allowed in the screening area once the film begins.  In the event of needing to postpone or cancel a screening (due to prolonged, heavy rain, high winds or thunderstorms), we’ll e-mail all customers and post on social media.  Please look out for this on the day of the screening if the weather is looking dodgy!
