Join us in the wild at the lovely International Centre for Birds of Prey near Newent, Gloucestershire, for an open air screening of Disney’s live-action 2019 smash, The Lion King. Brought to life like never before and featuring an all-star cast including Beyonce, Donald Glover, Seth Rogen and James Earl-Jones, plus classic and new songs from Elton John, Tim Rice and Pharrell Williams, this re-make brings the classic film roaring back onto the big screen.
The International Centre for Birds of Prey is the oldest dedicated birds of prey centre in the world. Set in 12 acres of amazing grounds, the centre is at the forefront of bird study, care and rehabilitation, with more than 250 birds of prey to meet; eagles, owls, vultures, kites, buzzards and falcons. Enjoy live flying demonstrations, photo opportunities and lots more.
Food and Drink: you are welcome to bring your own picnics to this event, but no glass containers or bottles, please. Freshly cooked fish and chips will be on sale at the event from the lovely Made Without Gluten, plus a bar selling alcoholic and soft drinks, plus tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Card payments only for food and drink, please.
Seating: deckchairs will be provided for those purchasing premium seats, all other customers selecting standard seating must bring their own low-backed camping chairs or deckchairs.
Other Information: Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. The film is rated PG. Tents, gazebos and BBQs are not permitted. Please respect the venue and take your litter home after the screening. Free parking is available at the venue.
Weather policy: screenings go ahead in all but worst weathers. Only if there’s heavy, prolonged rain or high winds forecast will the screening be postponed or cancelled. No refunds will be given unless the screening is cancelled. Umbrellas are permitted in the screening area until the film is about to begin, but must then be put away so that those behind you can see the screen.
