Roll up, roll up for the ultimate open-air cinema favourite, The Greatest Showman, in the wild at the lovely International Centre for Birds of Prey near Newent, Gloucestershire. Get ready to experience the dazzling sights and sounds of the fantastic family musical on our outdoor big screen, and sing along to all those huge hits, including ‘The Greatest Show’, ‘Never Enough’, ‘Re-write The Stars’, ‘From Now On’ and of course ‘This Is Me’.
The International Centre for Birds of Prey is the oldest dedicated birds of prey centre in the world. Set in 12 acres of amazing grounds, the centre is at the forefront of bird study, care and rehabilitation, with more than 150 birds of prey to meet; eagles, owls, vultures, kites, buzzards and falcons. The centre offers daily live flying demonstrations, photo opportunities and lots more.
COVID Measures: as restrictions have now been lifted in England, we won’t be asking you to wear facemasks to the event, or to socially distance from each other. However, if you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, this is fine with us, and we’ll also make sure there’s enough room at the event for you to sit a reasonable distance from neighbouring groups. All premium deckchair seats will still be distanced by group.
Food and Drink: Amazing gluten-free fish and chips will be on sale, provided by Newent’s legendary Made Without Gluten, plus a bar selling alcoholic and soft drinks, plus tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Card payments only for food and drink, please. You are also welcome to bring your own picnics to this event, but no glass containers or bottles are allowed onto the event site.
Seating: deckchairs with blankets will be provided for those purchasing premium seats, all other customers selecting standard seating must bring their own low-backed camping chairs or deckchairs.
Other Information: Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. The film is rated PG. Tents, gazebos and BBQs are not permitted. Please respect the venue and take your litter home after the screening. Free parking is available at the venue. No smoking or vaping in the venue.
Weather policy: screenings go ahead in all but worst weathers. Only if there’s heavy, prolonged rain or high winds forecast will the screening be postponed or cancelled. No refunds will be given unless the screening is cancelled. Umbrellas are permitted in the screening area until the film is about to begin, but must then be put away so that those behind you can see the screen.
